[Letter] 1847 Feb. 28, Salem, Mass. : [to] Levicia Reyerson, Lowell, Mass. / [from] Anne Gilbert.

Gilbert writes to her friend that she wants her to come work in the factory where she is working [perhaps the Naumkeag Steam Cotton Company, Salem, Mass.]. She indicates that the factory is very pleasantly situated and that she boards near the factory and "has delightful times." On the verso of this letter is another by Acheah H. Towns, written Mar. 2, 1847, asking Reyerson either to go home with Towns or come take her place at the mill; Towns writes that she has a cough, and the doctor says she must leave the mill.
